For the employees of the Magadan branch, these meetings are an important stage in the preparation of the TAC, during which there is an exchange of opinions, assessments of the presented materials and coordination of the positions of specialists.
During the meetings, research issues for 2024, current issues of developing TAC materials for 2026 for pollock and Pacific herring, cod, halibut, crabs and craboids were considered. Specialists of the Magadan branch presented reports on fishery objects in the northern part of the Sea of Okhotsk and took an active part in the discussion of the issues raised.
At the next stage of preparing the ODU materials for 2026, their justified volumes will be considered at a meeting of the VNIRO Academic Council and the Science Council under the Head of the Federal Agency for Fisheries, after which they will be submitted for public discussion.
