Stocking of reservoirs of Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk regions with fish

From October 28 to November 4, as part of the commission of the Nizhneobsk territorial administration for the implementation of state control, supervision, protection of aquatic bioresources and their habitat in the Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk regions, specialists from the Ural branch of the Russian State Research Center of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO) took part in stocking 10 water bodies.

In the Sverdlovsk region, a record number of juvenile carp were released into the Shershnevskoye reservoir - 340 thousand specimens, 61,550 specimens were released into the Vogulskoye and Volchikhinskoye reservoirs, Sredne-Achinsky and Nizhne-Achinsky ponds.

90 thousand specimens of juvenile white amur were released into the Beloyarskoye reservoir, and about 30 thousand specimens of juvenile silver carp were released into the Verkh-Neyvinskoye reservoir.

In the Chelyabinsk region, 150 thousand specimens of white amur juveniles were released into the Vtoroye and Sinara lakes.

Artificial stocking of reservoirs with fish is one of the main measures aimed at reducing anthropogenic impact on aquatic bioresources.
