Scientists systematized analytics for monitoring the state of biological resources, long-term complex and specialized resource studies, and noted expected trends in the development of biological and oceanological processes. The forecast was prepared in two versions: detailed and brief. The first is as close as possible to the requirements of environmental assessment, the second is intended for a wide range of users, contains the main characteristics of the raw material base and the volume of possible total catch of aquatic organisms in 2024.
An assessment of the state of aquatic biological resources and a forecast of the total catch of commercial hydrobionts, substantiated by fisheries science and recommended by the fishing industry, annually form the basis of the mechanism for managing fisheries activities, regulating fisheries and rational use of biological resources.
