The Forum annually summarizes the Arctic agenda and brings together representatives of government bodies, the business community, scientific and educational and non-profit organizations, and the media to participate in determining key areas of socio-economic development of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation and formulating solutions to pressing issues in the Arctic.
The Forum included a Round Table "Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation and the Far Eastern Federal District: a Driver of Regional and Economic Growth".
Deputy Director and Head of the Pacific Branch of the State Research Center of the Russian Federation "All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography" (VNIRO), PhD in Biology Alexey Baytalyuk took part in the Round Table as a moderator and made a report "Preservation and Development of the Resource Potential of the Eastern Sector of the Russian Arctic".
