The event was attended by the head of Rosrybolovstvo Ilya Shestakov and the director of VNIRO, Doctor of Economics Kirill Kolonchin.
Addressing the honored guests and employees of the Atlantic branch of VNIRO, Ilya Shestakov noted the great merits of the scientists and the team of AtlantNIRO. He emphasized that scientists from Kaliningrad have always been at the forefront of commercial exploration and provided Soviet and Russian fishermen with accurate data on the fishery stocks of the Atlantic and the eastern Pacific Ocean.
In his speech, the head of Rosrybolovstvo emphasized that the day before, the Great African Expedition of VNIRO had been launched - a project of Russian fisheries scientists that is unique in its scale and scientific significance. The beginning of this expedition marks a new stage in the development of scientific and international cooperation between the Russian Federation and the countries of the African continent.
Ilya Shestakov read out an address to the organizers and participants of the expedition, sent by the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin.
The director of VNIRO Kirill Kolonchin addressed the guests of the event and the staff of the branch with congratulations, wishing them further success in scientific work, new discoveries and many interesting expeditions for the benefit of the fisheries complex of Russia.
Deputy director - head of the Atlantic branch of VNIRO Konstantin Bandurin made a report "75 years of AtlantNIRO. For the benefit of fisheries science. Experience, professionalism, innovation."
Congratulations and wishes were made by the rector of KSTU Vladimir Volkogon and the Minister of Agriculture of the Kaliningrad Region Artem Ivanov, who read out a welcoming address from the acting governor Alexey Besprozvannykh.
