The first international Russian-Chinese scientific and practical conference "Aquatic bioresources and aquaculture of the Amur River basin" has started in Khabarovsk

The welcoming speech on behalf of the Director of the Russian State Research Center of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO), Doctor of Economics Kirill Kolonchin was read by the Deputy Director and Head of the Azov-Black Sea Branch Arsen Mirzoyan. On the Chinese side, the conference participants were welcomed by the Director of the Heilongjiang Research Institute of River Fisheries Zheng Xianhu.
 
During the conference, Russian and Chinese scientists presented reports on the most relevant areas of fisheries research. Russian scientists presented reports on the study of the resource base of the fisheries of the Amur River basin, the development of strategies for their rational use, as well as the effectiveness of artificial reproduction.
 
Chinese scientists presented reports on developments in the field of aquaculture, biotechnology for growing sturgeon species, strategy for the development of the rainbow trout industry, as well as feed production technologies.
 
The conference participants highly appreciated the level of development of fisheries research in Russia and aquaculture in China. Following the conference, it was proposed to hold similar events on a regular basis.
