During the forty days of the expedition, scientists of the Polar Branch of VNIRO performed comprehensive observations of the habitat, distribution and biological condition of fish, invertebrates and marine mammals. Specialists have formed a database of biological data on the occurrence and size composition of fish and invertebrates, collected extensive material on oceanology, parasitology, hydrobiology and theriology.
The vessel has covered 4,750 nautical miles, 71.6 thousand square miles of water area are covered by a grid of stations. The main tasks of the expedition were implemented in terms close to the standard, in accordance with the TAS methodology.
The results obtained will be used in forecasts of various lead times.
