The main events of the first day of the International Fishing Forum

The first day of the V International Fishing Forum and the Exhibition of the Fishing Industry, Seafood and Technologies (Global Fisheries Forum & Seafood Expo 2022) has ended.
After the official opening ceremony and a tour of the exhibition, a plenary session "Smart Fishing: research, fishing, production" was held. The session participants discussed the transformational processes taking place in the work of the Russian fisheries complex in the context of modern geopolitical challenges, and also noted the role of digital technologies and scientific developments in ensuring the effective functioning of the industry.
 
Within the framework of expanding the horizons of scientific cooperation, the All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography concluded a number of important agreements on cooperation and interaction on the Forum platform. The agreement with the government of the Rostov region is designed to regulate the directions of joint scientific and practical activities of executive authorities and scientists of fisheries science to ensure the rational use and conservation of aquatic biological resources of the region.
 
An agreement was signed with JSC "Melkombinat" on the transfer of recipes for the production of starter feed for fish. The result of cooperation between scientists of fisheries science and specialists of the production sector will be the creation of cost-effective starter feeds for various aquaculture facilities, which will make a serious contribution to solving the problems of import substitution in aquaculture.
 
An agreement on cooperation with the Museum of the World Ocean was also signed, which provides for the creation of unique museum expositions and exhibition projects, as well as the organization of various scientific and educational events serving the purpose of popularizing research of the world ocean.
 
VNIRO's interest in providing support to young people in science is met by an agreement with the Foundation for Support of Projects in the Field of Education. The purpose of the cooperation is to develop programs and activities in the field of education, science and culture aimed at vocational guidance of schoolchildren and training of highly qualified specialists to ensure the sustainable development of the fisheries industry.
 
In addition, the management of the Institute held a number of negotiations with representatives of business and public organizations. The key topic of the dialogue with the Russian Perfumery and Cosmetics Association (RPCA) was the prospects for integrating technological developments of fisheries science into the production of the cosmetology industry.
 
The end of the first day was the awarding ceremony of the winners of the rating of young scientists of VNIRO. The victory in the rating was determined by the publication and mentoring activity of scientists, participation in scientific conferences and expeditions, as well as their achievements in the field of creating objects of intellectual activity.
