The meeting heard reports on the results of research for 2024 in the Bering, Okhotsk and Barents Seas.
The current state of stocks of priority species of crabs and craboids was analyzed, proposals for improving measures to regulate crab fishing in the Far Eastern and Northern fishery basins were considered, a draft Plan for the exploitation of stocks of crabs and craboids in the sea waters of the Russian Federation until 2027 and the Program of expeditionary research in the Far Eastern fishery basin until 2029 were agreed upon with specialists.
The materials, projects and proposals heard will serve as the basis for the formation of the TAC and RV of valuable commercial fisheries in the seas of Russia for 2026 and subsequent years.
