STF “Atlantida” has approached the first phase of work in the Atlantic part of Antarctica beyond the CCAMLR convention zone over the past week.
We performed a test trawling with the RT/70 70/300 pelagic trawl in order to check the operation of the trawl, fishing gear control devices and trawl winches. All instruments have worked in the normal mode.
In a few days the vessel will start to perform acoustic gallons with planned herbs, hydrologic stations, technological works, collection of phyto-, zo- and ichthyoplankton samples and many other tasks.
Since leaving the port of Kaliningrad been reached 7,820 miles, with scientific and search works - 6,300 miles.
