STF K-1704 “Atlantida” continues the transition to the area of work in the Atlantic part of Antarctica. In a few days we will be on the equator. The transition is facilitated by windless and solar weather. The crew and the scientific team are continuing to prepare premises and equipment for research work: the verification and testing of oceanological equipment is under way, fishing weapons are equipped, and nets are being prepared for collecting ichthyo- and zooplankton samples. The necessary standard solutions and reagents are prepared for chemical analysis of water samples.
Scientific research works are accompanied by the observation of marine birds and mammals. At the moment 4,245 nautical miles have been passed, with search work - 2,725 miles.
