After our arrival at Stanley and fuel replenishment, on 22 January, we're continue research in the CCAMLR Convention Zone on the meridional cross-section between the South Orkney Islands and the island of Mordvinov.
At 61º50' South latitude, we first encountered fields of drifting ice, where fog was observed for a significant part of the time, which made it difficult to perform hydrological stations and trawls. Despite this, the scientific working days of the STF “Atlantida” in in the Atlantic part of Antarctic - are successfully continuing.
For a week, with research work 380 miles have been passed. 15 complex oceanological stations and 15 trawling with the Isaac Kidd trawl were performed.
