From 26 to 28 January, celebrations were held to mark the 200th anniversary of the discovery of Antarctica by Russian seafarers. Over the past period, "Atlantida" has approached the Antarctic Peninsula and the Western part of the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands. Several times the ship had to work in difficult conditions, bypass the fields of drifting ice, performing another complex station. On some days there was a strong fog, especially it is dangerous where floating ice and icebergs occur on the way.The most numerous species of birds in recent times were Antarctic fulmar (Fulmarus glacialoides).
For a week, with research work 507 miles have been passed. 23 complex oceanological stations and 23 trawling with the Isaac Kidd trawl were performed.
