Expedition to the Northern Caspian

On August 26 of this year, the research vessel "Gidrobiologist" of the Volga-Caspian branch of the State Research Center of the Russian Federation "All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography" (VNIRO) set out on a voyage to carry out research work to assess the number and qualitative structure of sturgeon juveniles in the waters of the Northern Caspian.
The exhibition "In the Name and Glory of Tambov Region" opened in Tambov, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the birth of the former head of the region Oleg Betin. The event took place in the Museum and Exhibition Center of the Tambov Region. The vocal ensemble "Russian Romance" and artists from the art studio "Fifth Ocean" performed at the opening.
In early August, specialists from the Krasnodar Department of the Azov-Black Sea branch of the Russian State Research Center of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO) conducted another expeditionary study to study the state of aquatic biological resources and their habitat in the middle reaches of the Kuban River, one of the largest watercourses in the Azov Sea basin.
On August 21, specialists from the Pacific branch of the Russian State Research Center “All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography” (VNIRO) conducted aerial monitoring of Pacific salmon spawning grounds in the rivers belonging to the Mainepylginskaya lake system basin and the Keipilgyn Lake basin (Chukotka Autonomous Okrug).
From August 19 to 21, the State Research Center of the Russian Federation “All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography” (VNIRO) held a refresher course for engineers in the feed industry.
During the annual comprehensive ecosystem survey of the Barents Sea, specialists from the Polar Branch of the Russian State Research Center “All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography” (VNIRO) on the research vessel “Vilnius” will conduct a trawl-acoustic survey of pelagic (capelin, polar cod, juvenile herring) and bottom (cod, haddock, black halibut) fish and crustaceans (opilio snow crab, Kamchatka crab, northern shrimp).
All about valuable fish: scientists from the Tyumen branch of the Russian State Research Center of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO) conducted an educational excursion for participants of the tourist and local history expedition "Native expanses". The meeting took place at the Volkovo research and production site, a production unit of the branch that contains the broodstock of valuable Siberian fish.
On August 21, a ceremonial event was held in the main building of the Nizhny Novgorod Museum-Reserve "Rukavishnikov Estate" to mark the 50th anniversary of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the Russian State Research Center "All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography" (VNIRO).
The Azov-Black Sea branch of the State Research Center of the Russian Federation “All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography” (VNIRO) continues its scientific research in the Northern Azov region.
Specialists from the Tyumen branch of the Russian State Research Center “All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography” (VNIRO) have begun key monitoring studies of the season – studying the spawning migration of whitefish species in the Ob-Irtysh basin.
