Air, Water and Sustainable Development

Leading researcher of the laboratory of fisheries ecology of the Kamchatka branch of the State Research Center of the Russian Federation "All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography" (VNIRO) Maxim Koval took part in the VIII All-Russian United Meteorological and Hydrological Congress "Air, Water and Sustainable Development", dedicated to the 190th anniversary of the Hydrometeorological Service of Russia. The main goal of the Congress, which was held on October 29-31 in St. Petersburg at the Expoforum site, was to discuss the most pressing problems of meteorological and hydrological science and practice in the context of climate change, to develop recommendations for consolidating the country's existing scientific, technical and industrial potential to solve priority problems in the field of meteorology and climate, hydrology and water management, as well as to develop interaction between scientific communities at the national and international levels. In total, about 130 oral and 50 poster presentations were presented within the framework of 6 thematic sections, 10 round tables were held on various topical issues of hydrology and meteorology.

Lake Onega was filled with young whitefish

The Magadan branch of the Russian State Research Center of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO) is expanding remote studies of approaches and spawning of aquatic biological resources - Pacific salmon, Pacific herring based on unmanned aerial systems (UAS). Until recently, the fleet of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the branch was based on foreign-made models, which somewhat limited their use.
Since 1996, October 31 has been celebrated as International Black Sea Day.
Nikita Yablokov, a leading specialist of the ichthyology laboratory of the Krasnoyarsk branch of the State Research Center of the Russian Federation “All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography” (VNIRO), became a candidate of biological sciences following a meeting of the dissertation council at the Siberian Federal University.

VNIRO products in Kazakhstan

Sauces from mussel meat "Ginger" and "Pikantny", developed by scientists of the State Research Center of the Russian Federation "All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography" (VNIRO) and produced at the site of the technopark "Innopark VNIRO", will be presented in the retail chains of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
On October 29, the Russian State Research Center of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO) was visited by the President of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (RANS), Doctor of Economics Petr Burak.
