As part of the state task, specialists of the Atlantic Branch of VNIRO carry out scientific support of fishing for aquatic biological resources in the Russian part of the Baltic Sea.

In May-June 2022, employees of the Department of Commercial Invertebrates and Algae of the Central Office of VNIRO conducted annual expeditionary work to monitor the fishing of the opilio Chionoecetes opilio crab (Fabricius, 1788) in the Barents Sea.

Scientists of the Kamchatka branch of VNIRO continue long-term monitoring hydroacoustic studies on the salmon rivers of Kamchatka.

The new catalog of the AGRIS bibliographic database for 2021 includes entries in English about 105 articles published in the specialized journals of VNIRO - "Trudy VNIRO" and "Problems of Fisheries". At the moment, the database contains 1368 articles from these journals.
