On August 30, a scientific research vessel of the marine class "Proteus" departed from the port of Murmansk in a solemn atmosphere. VNIRO scientists will have to overcome 5 thousand km along the inland waterways of Russia and carry out comprehensive monitoring of the seas and inland waters of the European part of Russia.

VNIRO scientists are conducting monitoring diving operations in the coastal zone of the southern Kuril Islands. The main purpose of the research is to study the spatial distribution and biological state of the gray sea urchin and kelp.

The seventh industry seminar "Training of international and national scientific observers and inspectors to work in the Convention area of the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR)" was held on the basis of the Atlantic branch of VNIRO.
