On March 24, Oksana Dudina, Head of the Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies Department of the Russian State Research Center of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO), and Marina Tronina, Academic Secretary of the Dissertation Defense Council for the Degree of Candidate of Sciences and the Degree of Doctor of Sciences 37.1.001.02, created on the basis of VNIRO, took part in the work of the scientific and practical seminar "Current Issues of Developing the System of State Certification of Scientific and Scientific-Pedagogical Workers", held by the Higher Attestation Commission under the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia and the Department of Certification of Scientific and Scientific-Pedagogical Workers of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia on the basis of the Don State Technical University (Rostov-on-Don).
At the end of March 2025, the spawning campaign for beluga producers, which are part of the Unique Scientific Facility "Bioresource Collection of VBR" of VNIRO, was launched at the Scientific and Experimental Aquaculture Complex "BIOS" of the Volga-Caspian Branch of the State Scientific Center of the Russian Federation "All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography" (VNIRO). This work is aimed at obtaining viable offspring of a valuable fish species and its release into the natural habitat within the framework of the State assignment for the purpose of artificial reproduction.
Head of the Khabarovsk branch of the Russian State Research Center of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO) Denis Kotsyuk and Deputy Head of the Pacific branch Denis Kiku took part in the 33rd session of the Joint Russian-Chinese Commission on Cooperation in Fisheries from March 17 to 21, which was held in Kunming (China).
After completing the planned research and development work (R&D) in the exclusive economic zones (EEZ) of the Northwest African countries, in mid-February 2025, the STM Atlantis began its passage to the southwestern Indian Ocean to continue work in the EEZ of Mozambique.

Advanced training courses at VNIRO

The Accreditation Center of the State Scientific Center of the Russian Federation “All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography” (VNIRO) has organized annual advanced training courses for all accredited persons with current Rosaccreditation experts.
From March 17 to 21, employees of the Altai branch of the Russian State Research Center “All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography” (VNIRO) traveled to brackish lakes in the Altai Territory to assess the state of aquatic bioresources during the spring freeze-up.
From February 24 to March 2, 2025, as part of the state monitoring of aquatic biological resources, specialists from the Novosibirsk branch of the Russian State Research Center "All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography" (VNIRO) conducted hydrobiological studies of 5 water bodies in the Novosibirsk Region.
