Director of VNIRO awarded with state award

Director of the State Research Center of the Russian Federation “All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography” (VNIRO), Doctor of Economics Kirill Kolonchin took part in the plenary session of the 26th agro-industrial exhibition “Golden Autumn”.
During these autumn holidays, the Freshwater Fisheries Branch of the Russian State Research Center of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO) organized a wonderful event for children - "Holidays in Rybnoye". This is a great opportunity to learn more about the fisheries industry, see the work of the laboratories and workshops of the Branch.
From September 23 to October 4, employees of the aquatic bioresources laboratory of the Ural branch of the State Research Center of the Russian Federation "All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography" (VNIRO) carried out field studies on the lakes Shaitanskoye and Yanychkovo of the Tavdinsky GO of the Sverdlovsk Region.

Raspberry waters of Avacha Bay

Residents of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky have already become accustomed to the fact that in September-October the water in Avacha Bay turns crimson.

A. traveled to the reservoirs of the Vuoksi River lake-river system basin to study the presence and distribution of crayfish.
In early October 2024, the Scientific and Experimental Aquaculture Complex "BIOS" of the Volga-Caspian branch of the State Research Center of the Russian Federation "All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography" (VNIRO) released 215 young Russian sturgeons with an average weight of 35 grams into a water body of fishery importance (the Bakhtemir River) to compensate for damage to aquatic biological resources and their habitat.
