Today, in the assembly hall of the All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO), an award ceremony was held for female employees of the institute on the occasion of the celebration of the warmest, truly women's holiday - March 8th.
On February 29, the platform of the Russian Society “Knowledge” at the exhibition-forum “Russia” (VDNKh, pavilion No. 57) became an open lecture hall for youth to communicate with experts - representatives of the country’s fishing industry.
The Sakhalin Ice 2024 fishing festival gathered almost 3 thousand participants and guests. 263 teams, including the team from the All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO), joined the competition, which traditionally took place on the Naiba River in the Dolinsky district.
 
The event was attended by the Governor of the Sakhalin Region, Valery Limarenko. He congratulated everyone on Defender of the Fatherland Day and noted that the large-scale winter fishing festival “Sakhalin Ice” unites people on the islands.
 
The largest fish measuring 36.2 centimeters was caught by the Triumph of Fortune team. The leader of the “Fisherman Biathlon” was Valentina Ustinova from the “First” team. She became the only participant who managed to catch navaga at this stage of the competition.

The government of the Murmansk region pays special attention to supporting young scientists carrying out promising scientific research aimed at implementing projects for the development of the Arctic.

Since 2016, the All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO) has been actively participating in expeditions organized by the Russian Geographical Society (RGS), popularizing the achievements of industrial science among young people and helping young researchers navigate the choice of their future profession.
 
In March 2023, VNIRO and the Russian Geographical Society signed a cooperation agreement, which provides, among other things, for the development of relations between the branches of the Institute and the regional divisions of the Society.
 
On February 14, the chairman of the Magadan regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society, Alexander Nesterovich, visited the Magadan branch of VNIRO, where he signed a cooperation agreement.
 
The agreement defines the interaction of regional organizations in the field of promoting environmental, research, economic, information and analytical, expert and expeditionary activities.
 
The head of the Magadan branch of VNIRO, Evgeny Metelev and Alexander Nesterovich, agreed to implement joint projects and expeditions.

Anniversary of the Tyumen branch of VNIRO

On February 1, a ceremonial meeting dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Tyumen branch of the All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO) was held in the Great Hall of the Government of the Tyumen Region.

On January 18, 2024, a round table "Modern education for a successful future" was held in the conference hall of Pavilion 51 "Meat Industry" at VDNH as part of the International Exhibition and Forum "Russia".
