The Volgograd branch of the Russian State Scientific Center of the All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO) conducted a traditional multi-day complex expedition on the research vessel Viktor Klimov in the waters of the Tsimlyansk Reservoir.

On August 22, the Central Institute of the All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO) hosted a "Day Without Turnstiles", where anyone could take a look "behind the scenes" of fisheries science.

Employees of the Volgograd branch of the All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO) are actively participating in the commission that monitors the implementation of work on the artificial reproduction of sturgeon species at fish farms in the Volgograd Region.

In August, a comprehensive expedition was conducted to collect hydrochemical and hydrobiological samples, which was carried out as part of state monitoring of the main fishery reservoir of the region.

The Temernik River is a small flat river flowing through the territory of the Rostov Region and is a right tributary of the Don River. The river is 35.5 kilometers long, 18 of which are in the urbanized territory of Rostov-on-Don.

On August 29, 2024, the Volga-Caspian branch of the All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO) held a scientific and educational lecture on the secrets of fish for 75 teenagers from the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, who came to the Astrakhan region for the fishing festival "Cup of Goodness".

During the first stage of the work, carried out using the research boat "Pegasus", employees of the Northern Branch of VNIRO conducted research on aquatic bioresources and their habitat at monitoring stations in the Pechora River delta.
