Russian vessels Atlantniro and Atlantis continue research in the Northwest African region as part of the Great African Expedition
The Great African Expedition is currently in full swing, carried out by two research vessels - STM "Atlantniro" and STM "Atlantis", equipped with modern oceanographic, acoustic and other scientific equipment. One vessel has already completed a bottom survey of aquatic bioresources in the Mauritania area and a survey of the replenishment of small pelagic fish in the Morocco zone and continues to survey replenishment in Mauritania. The second vessel is conducting research on demersal aquatic bioresources in the Republic of Guinea zone. Thus, both research vessels are working in the Northwest Africa area. This is no coincidence.
