Annual research covers lakes Pobednoye and Vishnevskoye. On each reservoir, seasonal observations were carried out at 10-12 permanent stations. During the work, specialists from the St. Petersburg branch of VNIRO took more than 40 hydrobiological samples to assess chironomid stocks. Fishing according to science in Tyumen

The Tyumen branch of the All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO) held the 1st (regional) stage of the VNIRO Championship in amateur fishing. The competition took place on Lake Volkovo in the Tobolsk region.

Based on the results of the defense of the projects of the finalists of the Russian Open Youth Water Competition - 2024, the project of the 10th grade student of the Lyceum No. 46 Margarita Ilyina about Kamchatka salmon entered the super final.
On March 30, at the exhibition-forum “Russia” at VDNKh, the first meeting of the Youth Council of the Federal Agency for Fisheries took place.
One of the most exciting events of this spring – the ice fishing festival “Baikal Fishing – 2024” was held in the village of Turka, Pribaikalsky district of the Republic of Buryatia. 257 teams from all over Russia took part in it, of which 39 were women’s.
The Sakhalin branch of the All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO) at the exhibition “Sakhalin Traditions” in the historical park “Russia - My History” organized a lecture event for students of schools No. 14, 16, 22 on the topic “Reproduction of Pacific salmon, features of the development of aquaculture in Sakhalin Region", where the speaker was the head of the sector for the study of Pacific salmon of the Kuril Islands - Anton Anatolyevich Makoedov.

Judging by the number of questions asked to the speaker, it can be noted that the audience was highly interested. It is worth noting that such events have a beneficial effect on the perception of future generations regarding Pacific salmon, namely the thrifty and rational operation of one of the main fisheries in the Sakhalin-Kuril region.

Among other things, these meetings reveal multifaceted prospects for the future choice of their professional activities, since in recent years the prestige of the fishery complex has noticeably increased and, along with it, the importance of one of the most important areas - aquaculture - has increased.

This is an opportunity to remind humanity of the vital importance of water resources for the environment and the development of society: water from rivers, lakes, seas and oceans, groundwater, glaciers, and atmospheric water vapor.
