On December 12, 2022, the research vessel STM ATLANTNIRO returned to Kaliningrad after performing an international expedition off the coast of the Kingdom of Morocco.

Within the framework of the Federal Project "Preservation of Lake Baikal", scientists of the VNIRO continue to collect materials necessary for molecular genetic studies and early diagnosis of infectious diseases of Baikal fish species.

The expedition in the Atlantic fishing zone of Morocco is carried out within the framework of the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco on cooperation in the field of marine fisheries.
